LAB TECHNICIAN
You are the source of truth for product quality.
We produce biocarbon, biochar and wood vinegar. Your job is to test, verify and flag issues in real time so production stays on spec and customers stay confident.
This is not a passive lab role - you are directly tied to plant performance.

What You’ll Do

Run daily testing - proximate/ultimate analysis, fixed carbon, ash, moisture, calorific value

Understand the IO chain - biomass is variable and affects final product. You need to know why and how to control it

Sample & test properly - make sure your results match external lab baselines

Report fast and clearly - production decisions depend on your data

Flag problems early - off-spec product, feedstock issues, process drift

Support product trials - generate reliable data for customer validation

Maintain lab equipment - calibration, upkeep, troubleshooting

Keep records tight - traceability, batch tracking, audit readiness

Work with production - help them understand what’s happening when they change things
Who You are
-
Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science or similar
-
Experience in industrial lab testing (fuels, carbon materials, mining, cement, etc.) preferred
-
Familiar + certified with standard test methods (ASTM/ISO) is a strong advantage
-
Comfortable working in a plant-linked lab environment
